The most reliable foundation is concrete. I think this is the only option that is suitable for building a house on unstable soil.

You are mistaken, just on unstable soil, the foundation is not poured, but put up piles or something like that.

If your area for construction has large differences in height and, moreover, unstable soil, then you just have to lay a pile foundation, for example, the same as here -. This is the only optimal solution for your site.Any other foundation will eventually diverge.
