How to connect a USB port?
Watch the video
Many system blocks on the front console have a USB port. However, in most cases it does not work, because it is not connected to the motherboard. For the front USB port to start functioning, you need to properly connect it.
To connect the front USB port, you need to do the following:
- Provide easy access to the motherboard. To do this, turn off the power of the system unit and remove the side cover from it by unscrewing the bolts on the sides.
- Carefully inspect the motherboard - it should have a pin connector connector, which is labeled USB.
- Now pay attention to the wires that run from the front panel of the system case. You need to find one that is not connected, has pins and USB. Connect it to the connector on the motherboard. Then make sure that the end of the wire is fully inserted into the connector and ensure a reliable connection.
- The last thing to do is to reinstall the side cover on the system unit, and then turn it on and check the operation of the USB port. You can do this with a regular USB flash drive, which you need to install into it.
