The head of NASA, Charles Bolden, confirmed that the agency plans to arrange delivery of astronauts to the ISS using private spacecraft.
Already in 2017, Americans will be able to get rid of the need to resort to the help of Russia in delivering crews and cargo to the space station.

In addition, Bolden noted that even if Russia refuses to finance the ISS and participate in its work, the project will not be closed, since “there are no irreplaceable countries on the ISS”. Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation announced that after 2020 Russia will direct its funds to other space projects.
